Silly PedAggression – Predators vs Animal Players for RedM (Standalone) 🐺

📌 Description

Silly PedAggression adds predator pursuit and scripted attacks against players in animal ped form. Existing bears, wolves, big cats, coyotes and alligators can chase nearby eligible animal players and attack with species-specific animations, damage and ragdoll effects.

Wild predators recognize eligible animal players as targets. Run from danger or turn and defend yourself!

Built as a standalone RedM resource that can run alongside VORP, RSGCore or another framework, with no framework, inventory or database dependency.

✨ Features

  • 🐾 Animal-player target list — dogs and a cat included by default, or enable all non-human player peds.
  • 🐻 9 predator profiles — bears, three wolf profiles, panthers, cougars, coyotes and two alligator profiles.
  • 📍 Nearby pursuit — default target-search and release distances of 50 m.
  • 🎭 Per-species animations — configurable attack dictionaries and clips.
  • ❤️ Per-profile damage — default scripted hit values from 20 to 30 health.
  • 🤸 Target knockdown — configurable ragdoll duration per predator profile.
  • ⏱️ Attack cooldowns — default 5 seconds between scripted hits for a predator.
  • 🛑 Predator stagger — detected health loss triggers a default 4-second ragdoll pause when control is available.
  • 📡 Remote-hit checks — server checks NPC ownership, predator model, range and cooldown before relaying a hit.
  • 🧹 Pursuit cleanup — release tracked NPC tasks and restore their original relationship group when control is available.
  • 🌐 Standalone gameplay — use it alongside your existing framework without an inventory integration.

🎮 How It Works

  1. Player uses an eligible animal ped through their existing ped system.
  2. An existing configured predator NPC detects a nearby eligible animal player.
  3. The controlling client starts pursuit toward the nearest eligible target.
  4. At close range, the predator plays its configured attack animation.
  5. A scripted hit removes health and ragdolls the animal player.
  6. Pursuit ends when no valid target remains within the configured conditions.

The resource does not spawn predators or transform players. It uses animals already present in the world.

🔧 Installation

  1. Place the inner Silly_PedAggression folder containing fxmanifest.lua in your resources directory.

  2. Add to server.cfg:

    ensure Silly_PedAggression

  3. Adjust target animal models, predator profiles, detection distances and damage in config.lua.

  4. Use an allowed animal player ped near an existing configured predator NPC.

No item SQL or database setup is required.

📦 Dependencies

| Dependency | Required | |---|---| | RedM | ✅ | | Server-visible player peds and networked predators | ✅ for hits relayed between clients | | Existing configured predator NPCs | ✅ | | A way to play as an eligible animal ped | ✅ | | VORP / RSGCore | ❌ | | Inventory / database | ❌ |

Remote-hit checks rely on server-visible player/entity state (OneSync/state awareness).

🌐 Framework Support

Predator pursuit and attacks run independently of VORP, RSGCore and other framework APIs. Use your existing animal-ped and wildlife resources alongside it.

There are no player-facing menus or notifications to translate; the gameplay has no language-pack requirement.

⚙️ Configuration

  • Config.AttackRadius / Config.ReleaseRadius — target-search and pursuit distance conditions in metres.
  • Config.ScanIntervalMs / Config.ChaseIntervalMs — scan and chase-task refresh timing.
  • Config.AttackerHitRagdollMs — predator stagger duration after health loss.
  • Config.RequireLivingTarget — exclude dead player targets by default.
  • Config.AnyAnimalPlayerPed / Config.PlayerAnimalModels — all non-human peds or an explicit player-model list.
  • Config.Attackers — predator models, animations, hit radius, damage, target ragdoll and cooldown.
  • Config.Debug — diagnostic logging.

Local-player scripted hits are handled on the client; server checks apply to hits relayed to other players.
