Silly Holy Animals – Mounted Guardian Encounters (RedM / VORP / RSGCore) 🦬🏹
📌 Description
Silly Holy Animals lets you define which animals are sacred to each tribe through per-model protected job lists. Outsiders who kill those animals provoke the revenge of mounted Native guardians, turning an ordinary hunt into a dangerous encounter for nearby players.
Built with a multi-framework bridge for VORP or RSGCore, automatic framework detection and German / English localization. Protected jobs do not trigger guardians and are excluded from their targets when another player starts an encounter.
✨ Features
- 🦬 5 default animal models — buffalo, Tatanka buffalo, black bear, moose and elk.
- 🏹 4 mounted bowmen per encounter, with configurable rider and horse model pools.
- 🛡️ Job protection —
nativeandindianby default, editable separately for every animal. - 📍 Randomized spawns — guardians appear 30–45 m from the death location.
- ⚔️ Dynamic targeting — nearby unprotected players within 150 m of the death location can become targets.
- ⏱️ 90-second repeat cooldown per animal model and nearby death area.
- 🔢 Encounter limits — 60-second player cooldown, up to 2 active encounters and a 10-second server-wide gap by default.
- 🧹 Automatic cleanup after 180 seconds or when all riders have died.
- 💬 Localized warning notification for players inside the encounter radius.
- 🧪 ACE-protected
/holytestcommand for admin testing, disabled by default. - 🌐 Multi-Framework — VORP or RSGCore, auto-detected or selected in configuration.
- 🌍 Multi-Language — DE / EN included, with editable translations and custom text overrides.
- 📦 Open configuration and locales —
config.luaandconfiglang.luaare listed inescrow_ignore.
🌐 Multi-Framework & 🌍 Multi-Language
Choose VORP (vorp_core + vorp_inventory) or RSGCore (rsg-core + rsg-inventory). Set Config.Framework = 'auto' for automatic detection, or select 'vorp' / 'rsgcore' explicitly. The bridge uses your framework's character jobs for the per-animal exemptions; RSGCore notifications use ox_lib.
Set Config.Language = 'DE' or 'EN' to switch the included warning and admin feedback messages. Edit configlang.lua to customize translations, or use Config.Text for individual overrides. Missing translations fall back to English.
🎮 How It Works
- A player kills one of the configured holy animals.
- The server checks the killer's framework job and the configured encounter limits.
- An exempt killer triggers no attack. Other killers summon the mounted guardians.
- Nearby players receive a warning, and the guardians attack eligible players around the death location.
- Riders periodically choose a new target and are cleaned up when the encounter ends.
🔧 Installation
-
Place the
Silly_HolyAnimalsresource folder containingfxmanifest.luain your server resources. -
Start it after your framework and its inventory. For VORP:
ensure vorp_core ensure vorp_inventory ensure Silly_HolyAnimalsOr, for RSGCore:
ensure ox_lib ensure rsg-core ensure rsg-inventory ensure Silly_HolyAnimals -
Enable OneSync and set the framework, language, actual job names, holy animals and encounter settings in
config.lua. -
For admin testing, set
Config.EnableTestCommand = trueand grant your admin group permission before using/holytest:add_ace group.admin silly.holyanimals.admin allow
No item definitions or database import are needed. Keep the inventory resource running: the shared bridge requires it for character and job access.
📦 Dependencies

| RedM + OneSync | ✅ |
| VORP Core or RSGCore | ✅ — one framework |
| Matching inventory | ✅ — vorp_inventory or rsg-inventory |
| ox_lib | For RSGCore notifications |
| Script-specific items / database import | Not needed |
